Tornado and Heavy Rains in Managua, Nicaragua

On March 15, a tornado and heavy rains hit the city of Managua, Nicaragua. To date, 14 participants have been impacted by the tornado. Thankfully, all affected participants are healthy and safe. However, the tornado and heavy rains damaged and flooded many homes. The Child Development Centers (CDCs) have been able to resume regular program activities and are currently evaluating the extent of the damage to determine how best to assist the affected families.
