Continued construction on the ASEAC youth office and mini organic gardens!

We are continuing to improve the space given to us by UNORCAC to transform it into the Cotacachi Youth Office. The local government has donated a majority of the building supplies (concrete, tiling, sand, etc) and the scholarship students and their parents have agreed to put in the labor. We are almost finished putting in all the tiling and building the fourth and final wall!

We have also been working on group organic gardens. We have divided the small space of land in front of the future ASEAC youth offices to make small organic gardens. Each garden is planned, planted, weeded and taken care of by 4-5 scholarship students. We have planted: peas, eggplant, beets, lettuce, carrots, jicama, tree cabbage, chamomile, gooseberries, and more!
